Our Studio

Majors ‘n’ Minors is a South Auckland/Franklin-based music studio specifically catering for young people, although adults are enrolled in some of the programmes. Its director, Lynda McDowall, is a registered children’s music specialist and a member of NEWZATS (singing teachers). In 2023 the studio will celebrate its 30th continuous year of teaching. Over the years, our tutors have inspired numerous children and teens in vocal, theatre, instrumental and early childhood programmes. A number of our students are age-group winners in the various regional competitions and they have an almost 100% pass rate in ABRSM (Royal Schools), Trinity and MTB (online) exams.
